a rectangle floor is 9 yards long and 3 yards wide. what is the area of the floor in square ft?

Convert the yards to feet. 9 yards is 27 ft. 3 yards is 9 feet. Now figure the square feet of the floor. since the units are in feet simply multiply 27 by 9 getting 243 sq ft.
