2,5,9,10,19,22 which are prime?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

which ones can you only divide by 1 evenly?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

for example 9/3 = 3 i can divide by 3 which is not 1 so NOT prime

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why did u divide 9 & 3?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

because i can, its a test to see if 9 is prime. for each number, try to divide by 2,3,4,5... if nothing works then it is prime *oh and dont divide the number by itself

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok ill try

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 2, 9, 10, 22 ??

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

are those prime or not prime

OpenStudy (anonymous):

prime

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5 and 19 is not

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

ok i want you think the exact opposite 5 and 19 are prime because no other numbers divide evenly into them 2 is actually also prime because remember dividing by itself doesnt count, 2 is a tricky one though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

gotcha. thank youuu!
