Can someone help with this? ln base e to the -2x = -10

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

\[\ln e ^{-2x} = -10\] ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need to no how to solve for X

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*know

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

ok but thats the correct equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

ln is log base e , so it is the inverse function of e^x ln(e^x) = x they cancel each other out so this can be rewritten as -2x = -10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats what I had. Thanks so much.

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

your welcome
