In the Problem Set of Unit 4, in the part of surface Area, problem 4G-5 I don't understand why the limits of integration go from 0 to 2 when the integration is made by "dy" and in the y-axis the upper limit is 4.

Ok, if I were you I'd start with single variable calculus, that is different from algebra. At my university we do single variable calculus and linear algebra in the first semester so I think that's a good point of start.
