A rectangular yard measuring 40 ft by 71ft is bordered (and surrounded) by a fence. Inside, a walk that is 3 ft wide goes all the way along the fence. Find the area of this walk. Be sure to include the correct unit in your answer

that is how it is written....so basically there is a walkway inside the rectangular yard that is 3 ft wide...and it goes around the entire yard. it is asking for the area of the walkway.
