Simplify: (a) (-2x)(-3x) (b) (ab)(2a^2b)(-3a)

myininaya (myininaya):

(a) (-2)*(-3)*x*x 6x^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a) 6x b) b *2 ^2b * -3 * a^(2b+2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer to A should be 6x^2 (forgot the ^2)

myininaya (myininaya):

(b) 2*(-3)*a*a^2*a*b*b -6a^4*b^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait whats b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont get what the *'s are for

I think myininaya and I read the problem differently. It'd depend on how the problem is written since I took it that a was raised to the 2b... maybe using more parenthesis might help

myininaya (myininaya):

is it (ab)(2a^2)(b)(-3a)?

myininaya (myininaya):

*=multiply
