If you were doing the ratio of 1657.16 to 50.26, would you keep it the same, devide 1657.16 by 50.26, or would it be 828.58 to 25.13?

By multiplying the ratio by a constant you don't change it. So 1657.16 to 50.26 = 828.58 to 25.13. If you divide it down, it just makes it easier to work with.
