please help!!!! BC trucking company charges $56.00(p) to deliver 8 cartons (c) to a nearby town and $78.00 to deliver 24 cartons find a linear equation usin (c,f) for these data points

do you mean using (c,p)...?
I assume that cartons are deferent (8 are not the same as 24), so price per carton is different as well.
so if x=price per carton (p) & y=price per carton (c), eq:
8x + 24y=56+78
