I need help with sines, cosines, and tangents

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok what part do you need help with?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How to figure it out using right triangles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the angles will always be 45-45-90 if it is a right triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well the problem says: For each of the right triangles below, find the exact values for sine, cosine, and tangent.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what are the measurements on the side of the triangles?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The measurements for the first triangle are 3.5 and 7 and the second is 4.8 and 6.4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Will I have to find the third side before doing sine, cosine, and tangent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you happen to have a picture with the equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In the book but I dont know how to get it on here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah you need the third side to be able to find the answer out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok. I dont even know how to do that :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you have two you can find the third you just need to find the x. Here is a tip my teacher told SOH=sin=OPPOSITE/HYPOTENUSE CAH=cosin=ADJASENT/HYPOTENUSE TOA=tan= OPPOSITE/ADJASENT

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright thank you

OK NO PROBLEM
