OpenStudy (jenny12):

Which is an example of dependent event? A) Two marbles are selected without replacement. B) One card is drawn, replaced, then another card is drawn.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which situation is affected by a previous action?

OpenStudy (jenny12):

Yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wasn't a yes or no question, I'm asking you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If I pick a marble, then pick another one does the first marble I picked affect the probabilities for the second?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Or the cards. If I pick a card, put it back, and pick another, does the second outcome depend on which card I picked the first time?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Any ideas?

OpenStudy (jenny12):

Not at all. Super confused. I think it's B.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Think about it this way. If I have a bag of 3 marbles, 2 red, one black. And I pick a marble and it's black, what's the odds that if I pick another marble I will get a red one?
