OpenStudy (anonymous):

Based on the theory of a balance modulator what signal would be eliminated and what signals would be generated.

OpenStudy (radar):

The injection signal (mixing signal) and the carrier signal would be eliminated, the sum and difference (upper and lower sidebands) would be generated.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so it wud be Fc + Fm and Fc - Fm?

OpenStudy (radar):

Those would be the outputs, the inputs would effectively cancelled or balanced out.

OpenStudy (radar):

Fc would be the carrier frequency, Fm would be the modulating frequency or frequencies (as modulation has information)

OpenStudy (radar):

Since the information is replicated in Fc+Fm, and Fc-Fm, usually one of them is eliminated by filtering or phasing.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok what's the formula for minimum sampling rate?

OpenStudy (radar):

Depends on the content of the signal that you wish to sample, it is stated that the minimum sampling rate should be at least twice the highest frequency component of the signal being sampled.
