Can anybody help me with this problem: In each of two different fourth-grade classes, 1/3 of the members are girls. Does each class have the same number of girls? Explain

OpenStudy (gw2011):

Not necessarily because each class can have different number of students. For example, Class 1 could have 12 students and 1/3 of these students would then be girls which would then be 4; and Class 2 could have 18 students and 1/3 of these students would be girls which would 6.
