A)What is the electron current through a 3mm diameter aluminum rod if the electron drift speed is 1 x 10^-4m/s?. B)Express answer from part a in coulombs /second. C) express your answer from part in Ampere

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use the equation \[I=nAev\] where I is the current, n is the number of electrons, A is the area of the cross-section of the rod, \[e=1.6*10^{-19}\] and v is the drift velocity. the area, \[A=\pi*r ^{2} = \pi*(d/2)^{2} = \pi*(3*10^{-3})^{2}\] I hope this helps
