f(x)=2/sqrt(2x-4) find the domain. explain.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x>2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can't get real numbers when u take the sqrt of of negative numbers so sqrt of (2x-4) has to be greater than or equal to 0 to get that we set 2x-4 = 0 x =2, so if x is 2 or more it is a real number. however 2/0 is undefined so it is everything greater than 2. the domain is (2, infty)

or as melor said x>2

thanks for the explanation =]
