i need help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

With what????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are u gud with math

OpenStudy (anonymous):

..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Put the problem forward If it is something that I can answer, I will

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k just a sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats the opposite of an integer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nvm with that answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ow k wen it says on the paper use a number line what do they mean by that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Opposite of an integer "a" is "-a" for eg opposite of 2 is -2 and opposite of -5 is -(-5) i.e. +5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When it says to use a number line, it means that you have to draw a horizontal line and mark the points on it. The distance between points should always be equal. Is that clear or shud i send a picture of it?????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

PLEASE SEND A PICTURE THAT WOULD REALLY HELP THANK U

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok wait

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ow k i got that bt wat about if it is like this I-5 I AND IT SAYS FIND THE ABSOLUTE VALUE OF EACH INTEGER

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here is the example of number line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Click to open the file and inform if number line is clear or not

OpenStudy (anonymous):

K

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OW K THANK U SO MUCH

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now coming to absolute value...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I HAVE ALOT MORE QUESTIONS FOR U IF U DONT MIND

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No probs...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just keeping clicking the medal button for each answer you find satisfactory!! :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

WAT U MEAN

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can u see the "Give Medal button" on the right, just click on it to give me a medal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OW K

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The ABSOLUTE VALUE of any number is is just the number part without the plus or minus sign. for eg. | -5| is 5 and |5| also is 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ANOTHER QUESTION I HAVE IS WHEN IT SAY COMPARE WHAT DO THEY MEAN ........ FOR EXAMPLE6___0 WAT DO THEY MEAN

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Comparing generally means telling which one is greater/smaller than the other Here it would be \[6 > 0\] because a positive 6 is greater than 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OW K

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THANK U

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Pls do not forget to click medal button!! (I am competing with a friend for medal collection and he is ahead)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

NW WEN THERE IS 2 NEGITIVES WAT DOES THAT MEAN

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OR LIKE A NEGITIVE N A ZERO

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First let us finish with comparing, For comparing, keep these rules in mind : 1) Any positive integer are greater than any negative integer.. 2) All positive integers are greater than zero. 3) Zero is greater than all negative integers but smaller than all positive integers. Also when comparing two negative numbers the number which has a bigger value after the negative sign is smaller For eg -7 is lesser than -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):
