Find an equation of a line parallel to the line 3x - 2y = 4 and containing the point (3,-5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First find the slope of the line that they gave you by putting it into y=mx+b form That would be y=3/2x-2 so the slope of that line is 3/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since your line is supposed to be parallel, use that same slope in the Point-Slope formula Sorry - I don't know how to do math equations so I'm done helping here..!
