$$h=-16t ^{2}+56t$$
when h=0 then $$-16t ^{2}+56t=0$$ gies you t=3.5. because t=0 neglected.
and when h=40;
$$-16t ^{2}+56t=40$$ $$2t ^{2}-7t+5=0$$ gives you t=1 or 2.5
