no there can be 10 different digits possible for the last digit of the SSN, if 2 ppl hav d same..then only 1 event is favourable..only one numbr out of d ten..

oh wow I was just looking at it all wrong... doesnt matter how many numbers are in the social... only that 0-9 are the only possible numbers for a single digit... thank you very much!
