a length of string is 75cm long and is divided into the ratio 3:2:5. what is the length of the longest piece. need working and answer

well, since ratio's equal up to 100%, and 3+2 = 5, so it's split into 3/5 : 2/5: 5 since 5 is half of 10 (the sum of all 3 sections of string), that means that the longest piece is going to be half of 75, so 75cm/2 = 37.5cm
