can you help me with mean mode median and range?
sure ask away
ok
i dont get it
what is the problem do you have an example or you want the definitions
no
i have a test tomorrow
mean is like average mode is the number that appears most times in the set of numbers median is the number that is in the middle after you arrange them from lowest to highest and range is the difference between the highest and lowest number
hey thatnks a lot jkay that helped
thanks jkay
for example let's take set of numbers 5,3,12, 15,9,3,11 mean is the average that is add all numbers and divide by 7(as there are 7 numbers) mode is 3 because it appears more times than other numbers(twice here) median is arrange them in lowest to highest order (3,3,5,9,11,12,15) and find the middle number that is 9 and range is 15(highest number) - 3(lowest number) = 12
wow thanks alot man i thought i would be in trouble cause i didnt know this stuff, but i was wrong you saved the day!! thanks man
mode can be more than one if there are more numbers that appears most times in a set for ex. in this set 3,3,4,5,5,5,12,15,15,15 -- the mode is 5 and 15 both. and for median if there are two middle numbers than you have to find a mean of those two to get median for ex.. 2,3,5,6,7,7,8,8 .. here median is the mode of 6 and 7 that is (6+7)/2 = 6.5
find the mean you have to add all the number then divide how every many number you got . median is the middle number.
no problem eminem. glad... could help..
