Important is relative.  It has proven to be important in my career.  (Retired now)  Now it ain't as important as it once was....but I still like it.

I'm a mathmagician and I'm proud of it :) Actually, mathematics is very important in our lives- this is not only numbers and formulas, what could seem boring at first glance- the main intention of mathematics is to make our universe clearer. I mean, most laws of nature can be explained by theories of mathematics. Also, mathematics can be beatuiful- if you dont trust me, just google for FRACTALS :)

honestly, you cannot treat one particular subject to be more important than others. you should know that all things are equally important just like what radar said. in this life, one thing led to another so you cannot put one thing on top of another. (My opinion)

I think math+science is the best sum.  We have gotten so far with this sum.  We know such much about out a universe and there are still things to know.  I know this sum can help us to explain more mysteries.

I hope, scientists will never find answers to all misteries of our universe, because our nature is beautiful, because it is worth knowing. And if nature were not beautiful, our life would not be worth living. Therefore, misteries, that can't be answered, is the most important engine of our life.
