Is that the compound fraction of it? If so, then you can follow a simple trick: multiply 2 by the denominator, add the numerator, and put it on top. In this case, it'd be 11/4, or 2.75. Unless I've majorly misread it and it's 23/4...in which case you can multiply both terms by 2 to get an equivalent fraction. :P
