A polygon is defined as convex if: 1) all diagonals exist on the interior of the polygon. 2) it is not a circle. 3) at least one diagonal on the exterior of the polygon. 4) all sides are congruent and all angles are congruent.

A convex polygon is defined as a polygon with all its interior angles less than 180°. This means that all the vertices of the polygon will point outwards, away from the interior of the shape.
