oh first terms. not just THE first term. ya so you are going to have to do some massive distribution. try using a table form to keep it neat.

(a+b+c+d)(e+f+g+h) = ae + af + ag + ah be + bf + bg + bh ce + cf + cg + ch de + df + dg + dh then simplify stuff. hardest part is really just not making a silly mistake.
