How do I solve this problem: 2/3 x 4 1/4=

OpenStudy (anonymous):

make the 4 1/4 into a improper fraction. you would get 16/4 and take that with 2/3 and find the common denominator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, after I find the common denominator which would be 2 I think then what do I do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait hold on.......i told you wrong the improper fraction would be 17/4 and also you would have 2/3 okay so you have them both and the two denominators are three and four. the common deminator would be tweleve. take what numbers you get tweleve with and do the same to the top

Okay, so now I come up with 34/12 how do I reduce this?
