multiply 1/4(x -7y- 4z)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/4x-28y-4z

OpenStudy (amistre64):

close; but no :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

huh?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

(1/4)x -(7/4)y -z

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's ambiguously written though and many of my friends would argue that MissM is correct; the thought being that th 4(...) implies distribution which would outrank the multiplication and division equality of priorities. If that makes any sense. Heh.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

-4(4) !=! -4z tho :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Heh...good point. :)
