Can I get some help please.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey, what do you need?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is for someone else. Abby's garden has an area of 72 ft^2. Find the length of the garden if the length is twice the width. thanks

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

2x^2 = 72 x^2 = 36 x=6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a=72ft^2=l*w l=2w Substitute. 72ft^2 = 2w * w = 2w^2. Solve for w. w = sqrt(72 / 2) = 6 ft. Substitute w back into l=2w so l = 12 ft.

Thank you very much.
