OpenStudy (momo):

What reason justifies why triangle ABC is similar to triangle ADE? SAS, AA, SSS, or the triangles are not similar.

OpenStudy (momo):

OpenStudy (momo):

i thought it could be AA or SAS

OpenStudy (momo):

i was leaning more towards AA

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is SAS and AA and SSS?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

AA is my guess; your got 2 angles the same; but i dunno how much proof that is

OpenStudy (momo):

i was guessing AA also because the sides are smaller

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the crossin glines tells you the angle interior is the same; and the measure of that outside one thats marked is the same...

OpenStudy (momo):

yeah, so i'm going with AA lol

OpenStudy (momo):

so are you a math teacher?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

going for my masters in math to be a college math teacher...so maybe lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um, it is AAA because it is given that angle ABC is equal to angle ADE

OpenStudy (amistre64):

with 2 angles the same; the third is a given i believe

OpenStudy (anonymous):

angle BAC is angle BAE

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry i meant angle BAC is the same as angle DAE

OpenStudy (momo):

ha well you are pretty close. good job :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it follows that angle AEB is angle ACB since we know sum of internal angles of triangle is 180. so we have AAA congruence or whatever they call it. i did all this a long long time ago :)

OpenStudy (toxicsugar22):

dhat i worked it

OpenStudy (toxicsugar22):

please help

OpenStudy (toxicsugar22):

im ready
