ok so i got a new computer today does anyone know how to delete all the free trial crap that comes with it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it usually always depends. what do u have? most programs have an uninstall file... but by uninstalling it, sometimes may affect the configuration of the system... the best way, is to do a clean install. reinstall the OS and then just put the programs that you want on it...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Heh, obligatory pointer to install Linux.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

PC Decrapifier is a pretty popular tool for removing all that bloatware nonsense. http://www.pcdecrapifier.com/

OpenStudy (carlsmith):

If it's Windows, which I guess it must be if it's full of crapware, you often get a OS restore disk that doesn't have all the 'free' crap on it. If that's the case, you can just reinstall your OS.

OpenStudy (carlsmith):

There's always this http://www.ubuntu.com/ That'll remove every bit of crapware from your new PC, including Windows. @et Sorry, I didn't read your post properly before I made mine ~ you'd pretty much said the same thing already.

Hey Carl, no problem... i see there is version 11.04 'Natty Narwhal' out. I still have maverick10.10 Virtual Machine, upgraded from 8.04, not that long ago. I don't know what is the point of keeping up with the latest though. Plus it's just more ware and tare on the hard drive...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ware and tare, lol... is that right? share, there, stare... i forgot how to spell w--- out. Oh! tear, wear, that's it! That's funny, tear is crying too, a completely different word and meaning... English is a trip... lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see they have implemented the delete feature, umm...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use Gnu/Linux for healthy life.Ubuntu, fedora are good for Desktop.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do NOT waste your time uninstalling it... simply get yourself an OS Installation disk... Delete current partitions, re-create new partition, format, AND INSTALL the OS!!!!! an operating system installation will NOT have any of that crappy trail software on it!!!
