if it's -(3)^2=-9

Its from a problem using the quadratic formula, its suppose to be 3±√-3^2-4(1*1)
so it turns into 3±√-3^2-4, in that instance, what is it?

hmm kk thanks. so the answer for the Quadratic formula could be written as
x = -3+√5

x = -3 -√5
