When x=36 what is the value of; 9/2*(x^-1/2) I know the answer is 3/4 but can someone explain the steps to get there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When you are looking at x^-1/2, first think x^1/2 is the square root of x. The negative just means to make it 1/x^1/2 or 1 over the square root of x. Then the square root of 36 is 6. Put it all together and you get 3/4.
