6x-9y=27 9y-6x=-27 what is the order pair please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry I forgot the first time. Here are the two I found (0,-3) and (9/2, 0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is looking for one not two please?

myininaya (myininaya):

6x-9y=27 is the same as 9y-6x=-27 so there are infinitely many solutions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, because there are two equation and two unknowns there are infinite solutions

myininaya (myininaya):

do you see how it is the same? if you multiply either equation by -1 on both sides it becomes the other equation

myininaya (myininaya):

just because there are two equations doesn't always mean that there will an infinite amout of solutions in this case there were though because they are the same line
