How can I find the area of a trapezoid with a height of 10m and bases 3 m and 6 m?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

area = (1/2)*(b' + b'')*h b' = base 1 b'' = base 2 h = height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So u add the bases and multiply it by the height and then divide that by 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

What about a figure that has a base of 4.5 yd, height of 10 yd and the inside is 9 yd? How do I find the area to that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

same formula

So I add the 9 yd that's inside the figure to the base and multiply it by the height?
