HI I'm simply supposed to factor this problem: 9x^2 + 7xy - 2y^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can't remember how to do it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[9x^{2} + 7xy - 2y^{2}\] \[(ax + by)(cx - dy) = (ac)x^{2} - (ad)xy + (bc)xy - (bd) y^{2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you just have to grind it until you find it. (3x-2y)(3x+y) nope (3x-y)(3x+2y) nope try (9x-2y)(x+y)

groovy 9x^2 - 2xy +9xy -2y^2
