Can someone please help me i just don't get it? The volume of sphere w is approximatley 47.92π in^3. If the square factor from where w to x is 3 , what is the diameter of sphere x. A.) = 9.9 in B.)= 19.8 in C.)=143.75in D.)=4.4in

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[V = {4 \over 3} \pi r^3\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and can you explian

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you there ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am, yeah.. and I don't think it's C. Would you please post your steps, so I can tell you, where you went wrong?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol sorry i met D but di i mutiply

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is D right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

katie - i'm not telling you wheter it's right or not, cause you just want to have the correct answer and be lazy. I understand that - i hate maths, too! But please also understand that i'm not going to support you with that strategy, cause it wont work out in the end. I will however try and explain everything, IF you try to do it yourself and tell me/us where you got stuck etc etc...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay well can you explain it to me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well the formula for calculating the volume of a sphere is \[V = {4 \over 3} \pi r^3\] now look at the problem and tell me, what do you already know and what do you want in the end?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to find x of 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What's x ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks for the help :(
