Surface area of this figure(check out attached picture)

myininaya (myininaya):

let me see the warlock please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its kind of hard but thanks for looking!

myininaya (myininaya):

surface area? why would they give us the width then? there are 6 rectangles AR=area of rectangle AR=length*height=6(10)=60 6AR=6(60)=360 there are two circles one in front and one in back AC=area of circle AC=pi(6/2)^2=9pi 2AC=18pi so 6AR-2AC=360-18pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They gave the width because it was a two part equation with the Surface area and volume but the SA is all i need help on. And what you're saying is 6(60)-2(9pi)=360-18pi?

myininaya (myininaya):

yes!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the surface area would be 303.4513322? that what i got from 360-18pi

myininaya (myininaya):

thats an approximation to the acutal so gj

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What does that mean? it would be great if you could explain you kind of cut off haha<3

myininaya (myininaya):

gj=good job

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OHH so i got it right? thanks so much!!! <3
