How would I write a function for this growth?
$0.01 for day 1
$0.02 for day 2
$0.04 for day 3
$0.08 for day 4
$0.16 for day 5
….and so on
every day is double the previous days salary

\[y = 0.005*2^{x}\]

I think it is just \[f(x)=2^{x-1}\] . This gives the number of pennies. Of course if you want dollars move the decimal point, but there is no 0.005 in this.

oops. I see. the .005 reduces the power by one and moves the decimal. sorry.
