TA is lying to you, don't believe

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4/5

OpenStudy (amistre64):

which would you rather have; 4/5 of a cake; or 2/3?

OpenStudy (m):

find common denominator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4/5 is bigger

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you make them have common denominators. it would be 15. so 4/5 would equal 12/15 and 2/3 would be 10/15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if there were 15 THINGS, which would be more, 2/3 of them or 4/5 of them?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

id go with 4/5; but then i aint diabteic ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to compare two fractions we need to make the denominator same. so multiplyin n dividin by 3 in the 1st fraction we have 12/15 and to the second fraction we multiply n divide by 5. so we have 10/15. now as 12 is greater than 10, 12/15 is greater than 10/15. which implies 4/5 is greater than 2/3. =)
