A solid generated when region in the first quadrant is enclosed by curves y=2x^2 and y^2=4x is revolved around the x-axis. What is the volume? A. Pi/5 B. 2Pi/5 C. 8Pi/5 D. 6Pi/5
What type of math are you taking?
calculus
Im assuming your doing multi variable right?
First draw the projection of y=2x^2 and y^2=4x
I already have the area between these two. I just completely forgot how to rotate :P
Well whatever the shape it is you want to reperamatize it according to what the shape resembles.
Does it look like a cone or a sphere then use spherical coordinate or does it look like a cylinder then use cylindrical coordinates
After you find it then you have to find the normal vector use double integrals to solve for the normal vector with the appropriate boundaries.
can you explain it without multivar?
