does anyone have the answer i have the multipule choice to it
what is the question?
solve the quardatic equation for x
do you know what the quadratic formula is?
i have the multipul choice answers
i posted it
Please post a question with the full description of the problem. If you don't we can't help you.
(7x-2)(6x+4)
10x^2+6x-28 =2(5x^2+3x-14) =2(5x-7)(x+2) 5x-7=0 --->x=7/5 x+2=0 --->x=-2
thats wrong. You can't use the quadratic
That is not wrong. It is factored and those factors set equal to 0. Solve from there. Not wrong...
(7x-2)(6x+4) 42x^2 + 28x - 12x -8 42x^2 + 16x - 8 42x^2 + 16x - 8 = 0 Roots = [ -b +- sqrt{ b^2 - 4ac ] / 2a
Sorry, I thought you meant mine was wrong..Lol..I was like..NO
here are the multip. ans. a x= -7/2 or 3/2 b x=7/2 or -3/2 c =2/7 or -2/3 d x=-2/7or 2/3
answer is: -2/3 and 2/7
really? first you must understand why we set them to 0 you can't just ask (7x-2)(6x+4) what are the values of x without understanding why we have to set it to 0. Heck we can set it up as anything.
it just says solve the quadratic equation for x (7x-2)(6x+4)
above are the possible answers
In the answers why are there two values?
thats why im here lol
It means find the roots of that quadratic equation..which is where the y values are equal to 0, therefore we set the equation equal to 0. Hence the two answers..
(7x-2)=0 --->x=2/7 (6x+4)=0 --->-2/3
yeah I just think she wants the answers
answer is C
