An exercise teacher wants each student in her class to have at least 48 square feet of space on the floor. What is the largest number of students she will allow in a classroom with this size student exercise area? with the length 60ft and width of the floor as 40 ft.

The first step is to solve for how many square feet there are in the room: 60 x 40 = 2400 square feet. Next if each student is to have 48 square feet you divide 2400/48 = 50. So the answer should be 50 students.
