False. Say there is a prize, and you buy one ticket. In total, one ticket has been sold, so your chance of winning the prize is 1. Buying another ticket will mean your chance of winning the prize is still 1 - it certainly can't be 2!
True. if there are 10,000 tickets and you have one then your chances are 1/10,000 but if you buy two you double that and have 2/10,000 or 1/5,000.
