I need some help with factoring trinomials, I've been working on this for a long time and can't seem to get it: 6x to the power of 2 -13x+2

OpenStudy (amistre64):

thats a quadratic; have you tried to factor it as a quadratic yet?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i see in my maths third eye... (x-2)(6x-1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No I haven't, it's supposed to be a trinomial, maybe that's why I haven't been getting it.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i mistook trinomial to mean cubic lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a trinomial is a fancy way of saying an expression with three terms. this is a quadratic equation, meaning it is a polynomial of the second degree. so you can factorize it using the link i posted,

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the steps to solve that are easy to show on paper; but a pain to describe over a keyboard

Okay, thank you!
