what is 10v=lwh; for w?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide both sides by lh to get \[w=\frac{10v}{lh}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how so u divided both side ?

OpenStudy (radar):

When you have an equation, you must respect the equal sign. What is on the left equals what is on the right. If you add, or subtract, multiply, or divide one side you must do the same to the other. the division of lh was done to isolate w. since it was done on the right, it must be done on the left of the equal sign.

OpenStudy (radar):

10v = lwh ----=----- lh lh 10c/lh=w

OpenStudy (radar):

*10v/lh = w
