2x+y=13
xy=15
2x+y=13
y=13-2x
then substitute y into the othr equation.
x(13-2x)=15
13x-2x^2=15
-2x^2+13x-15=0
you could use the quadratic formula.I chose to factor it.You will get the same answer.

x=5 or 3/2
5y=15
y=3 or
3/2y=15
y=10
fina answr can be 10 , 3/2, 3/2
