As I can see they dont have a common factor

Can you do long division of one p-olynomial by another?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

??

Obviously not! _______________________________________ Write x^2 + 2x - 3) 2x^5 + 4x^3 - 5x^2 +3x - 2 x^2 goes into 2x^5 2x^3 times, so multiply x^2 + 2x - 3 by 2x^3 and subtract from 2x^5 + 4x^3 - 5x^2 +3x - 2 Keep going until you reach a remainder like ax +b hth
