Hello, I have a pronunciation question. The following words (cake, face, snake) have the same /ei/ vowel pronunciation with a silent e, but why the vowel in the word (have) is pronounced /ae/?

I think in the English language pronunciation depends mostly on the origin of the word. Unlike many other languages, the sound for each letter is not always consistent, so it's a matter of remembering exceptions as well as how certain kinds of letter patterns tend to be pronounced
