Question

Just to let yall know; my badges dont seem to be adding up. I have yet to get a coveted 'answering' badge. And there are a few other 'lesser' badges that are not registering in my profile.

Ive even been using firefox as of late :)

Heh. Yeah, we're still working on an issue where the earlier achievements don't necessarily get filled in, so you're only getting the achievements whose requirements you've crossed since we deployed the achievements code.

Also, there are two or three achievements that are `invisible' right now because they aren't associated with a particular study group.

I probably read this wrong; but it sounds like your saying that:

Before the medals and badges were put into play, all the previous work we did doesnt count towards them. If that is what you are meaning then I understand that part :)

What I dont understand are the things that I have completed since the implementation of the badge system; and have yet to register on my profile. Such as:

Complete Profile badge

Answer a question within 2 minutes of login badge.

And a few other lesser ones.

But the; Any of the 'number of questions answered' badges? Not a single one since the first day the badge system had been employed on the website.

Amistre, actually your previous work does count. But the current implementation as Antonio stated has certain thresholds that you have already passed before achievements went live. For instance, due to your incredible answering skills you passed the threshold check for a certain badge and are in between the range for that level and the next. Don't worry, these issues will be dealt with so that users like you get the deserved recognition ;)

That should be fixed, so the next time you post a reply you'll probably get like eight achievements :D
