Hey can anyone explain me cell theory by Scheilden and Schwann

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One studied plant cells, the other studied animal cells. There were 3 points: All living things are made up of cells Cells can only arise from pre-existing cells can't remember the third

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it was first "virchow"who proposed that "omnis cellulae de cellulae" {many cells arise from pre_existing cells}through cell division...but it fails to explain cell division

I remembered, the other point was that the cell was the smallest functional unit of living things. Yes, Virchow proposed cell theory, but I think it was Schleiden and Schwann that performed the studies (actually their grad assistants!)
