Find an equation of the line segment joining the given pairs of points. (1,0,1) and (0,-2,1) This is what I have so far r(t)= <1,0,1> + t<-1, -2, 0>. But this is just the equation. How do I find the segment?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

r(t) is the equation of the line segment. What do u mean by Find the segemnt? did u mean the distance bet ween 2 points?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its easy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you just want the parameter t to range from 0<=t<=1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that isolateds the segment between the two points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when t =0 u r at the 1st point, when t =1 u r at the 2nd point

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so will the ranges always be 0 <= t <=1?
